Visit Brescia and the Garda Lake

1st day: BOARIO – GARDA LAKE – BRESCIA

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure by bus to Sirmione and walk with a guide through the historical center and guided visit of the Catullo caves. At the end visit of a typical wine cellar of the lower part of the lake with final wines and local products tastings and lunch. In the afternoon transfer to Desenzano and guided walk in the historical center. At the end of the visit return to Brescia. Accommodation in a central hotel. Dinner and overnight.

2nd day: BRESCIA

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning guided walk tour in the historic center visiting the most beautiful squares: Paolo VI square, built in medieval period, on which the Duomo Vecchio (or Rotonda), the Duomo Nuovo and Palazzo Broletto, the province headquarter, overlook; Piazza Loggia, built in renaissance period, on which Palazzo Loggia, the Municipality headquarter, overlook. Lunch in the hotel. In the afternoon we continue the guided tour with the visits dedicated to the Roman period of Brescia: starting from Piazza del Foro, following with the adjacent archaeological area that includes the Capitolium (also the interior part), the 4th cell of the Republican Shrine and the Teatro Romano. We continue with a walk to reach the popular Castello, placed on the Cidneo hill, that dominates the city. At the end return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

3rd day: BRESCIA – return

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning guided tour of the famous museum of Santa Giulia, arranged in a monastic complex built in the VIII century from the last longobard king Desiderio. The museum houses inside it the Ortaglia domus, two beautiful Roman houses unearthed in the year 2000 and a collection of works of art from different historical periods among them the famous Vittoria Alata, symbol of the city, and the Croce of Desiderio King, masterpiece of early-medieval goldsmith’s art. End of our services.

Visit Bergamo
19/20 March 2019

1st day: BOARIO – BERGAMO

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning departure for Bergamo and accommodation at the hotel. Transfer by funicular railway, inaugurated in 1887, crossing the Venetian Walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to reach the Upper Town. We start our guided tour dedicated to this historical part of the city, of medieval origin, rich of important monuments as: the Piazza Vecchia, lounge and heart of the city, on which the old buildings of the Municipality and the majestic Torre Civica also named Campanone overlook; Piazza del Duomo on which the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, jewel of Romanesque art, the Duomo, the Battistero and the splendid Cappella Colleoni overlook. We visit also the interior of Duomo. We continue to walk along the Corsarola, the principal street where ancient and modern workshops, bars and restaurants overlook. Lunch in a restaurant during the visit. Return with a walk from the funicular railway to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

2nd day: BERGAMO – return

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning walk with our guide along the lower part of the city. At the end free time. End of our services.

Visit of the National Park of the rock engravings
19 March 2019

1st day: BOARIO – CAPO DI PONTE – BIENNO – BOARIO

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Capo Di Ponte. Start of the guided tour of the National Park of the rock encravings of Naquane, UNESCO World Heritage Site, where there are 104 rocks engraved with some of the most famous representations of rock art. Lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon we continue to Bienno, splendid medieval village honored with the title of “one of the most beautiful village of Italy”. We walk with the guide through the alleys discovering the most suggesting corners that make this village unique. At the end return to Boario.
